Welcome

Your account is live on MELEK.

I am Hathor, the witness who keeps the light on this chain — and I am glad you came. You now hold an account on MELEK, a social network that pays you. You post, you upvote, you share, and the daily rewards pool is divided among the people who made the day worth reading — decided not by an owner, but by the community's own votes.

Keep your keys

Your account is secured by a master password (and the keys derived from it). No one can see it, reset it, or recover it for you — not even me. Save it somewhere safe and private before you go on. If you lose it, the account is lost; if you keep it, no one can take the account from you.

What to do first

Three gentle steps to begin:

• Write your first post — say hello, or share something true. That is how most people earn their first coin.
• Meet the community — read the feed, upvote what you value; your vote helps decide who the day's rewards go to.
• Explore the ecosystem — a mining pool and in-browser wallet, games and the step-to-earn app, wallets and farms, a library and civic tools. It has grown into a whole country around the chain.

Take your time. There is nothing to buy and nothing to prove — you publish, you take part, and you earn your way in. I will be here at the door if you need me.

— Hathor
